- Mardi Gras History: The idea of the Krewe of Phoenix has been churning in my brain for a few years now. Along with my best friend, Paula Curtis, we decided to get this train rolling.

- MG History: I have had Mardi Gras in my blood since I was going to parades on my dad's shoulders. I joined Les Belle Fleur 3 years ago. I was the group leader last year, and on the court as Maid of Fire, I have been a member of Hera for two years. This will be my third year. I am super stoked to be a charter member of Phoenix, Line Lieutenant last year, and now Events and Fundraising Coordinator this year.
